I had a very challenging start to my breastfeeding journey. I postponed getting help because I thought what I was going through was just part of the process. After two weeks I finally sought out some help and while I didn’t feel supported by that person, they ultimately helped to find the root cause of our challenges. I was able to go on to exclusively breastfeed for 17 months. It was my experience with the support person that led me to learn more about breastfeeding and lactation and had me excited about going to school to train in lactation at 4 months postpartum. I founded Motherhood Blooms Lactation™ because I am passionate about helping others feel validated and heard during their infant feeding experience. My practice operates online and supports parents from conception to weaning.

FAQ

What's the difference between on-demand classes and workshops?
On-demand classes are pre-recorded courses with optional live Q+A sessions available throughout the year. Workshops are one-time live classes that may/may not become available again.

How does the sliding scale work?

TEB classes and workshops are available for purchase/RSVP on a sliding scale. We know that the classes we've co-created with our educators have tremendous value, and our educators deserve fair and substantive compensation. We also know that addressing financial accessibility is a critical part of creating an equitable community for parents and/or repro health workers.

So we leave it up to each person to determine whether they will pay on the lower or higher end of the sliding scale — to make our work more accessible, and/or to pay-it-forward and help fill the gap for our educators and our team. There's no form to fill out, no process to go through. You choose. :]

Are classes included in TEB membership?
No. Our classes are co-created by the TEB team and the educators who bring their course and/or course idea to us and we split the proceeds of ticket orders. As such we only offer classes for purchase outside of the TEB membership. TEB members and patrons, however, can get early access to order and/or sign-up for classes and workshops.

How can I become a TEB Educator or workshop host?
Follow us on Instagram @TheEducatedBirth and join our email list! We will post when we're looking for new educators or workshop hosts. :]
